We made great progress on the STEAMfest quits. A big thank you to our Community Outreach committee and everyone who pitched in to sew blocks together at the July open sew. We assembled 3 complete tops, a fourth top that just needs borders added, and prepared backs for 2, and binding for 1. All the STEAMfest blocks have been sewn together! We will still need some volunteers to finish the backs, quilting, and binding. Look for more details about a fall Community Outreach sew day coming soon.
Our July Block of the Month is a fast and simple block you can easily squeeze into your busy summer. The tutorial is up on the blog, as well as a new reference page for all past BOM tutorials. Find them all in one easy to navigate page! Here’s some of the great July blocks so far.
Use the hashtag #bouldermqgbom18 and tag us @bouldermqg when posting your blocks on Instagram!
Open sew is August 19 from 9am-4pm. We will begin assembling blocks for our Quiltcon 2019 charity quilt. Anne and the Quiltcon design committee will lead us in block construction. Please plan a portion of your day to sew your quick and easy block during the open sew.
