The Modern Quilt Guild and Stash Books published “Modern Quilts: Designs of the New Century”, a book compiled by Riane Menardi, Alissa Haight Carlton and Heather Grant. The book contains over 200 modern quilts, and the Boulder Modern Quilt Guild is so proud to see two members included in there!
Anne Deister’s quilt “Rhythm and Blues” won third place in the Use of Negative space category at the 2013 QuiltCon show. The pattern for this quilt was published in the Winter 2015 issue of Modern Quilts Unlimited and will be available in the May 2018 compilation book, “Quilts, The Modern Collection: 25 Dynamic Projects from Modern Quilts Unlimited” from Modern Quilts Unlimited published by C&T Publishing.
You can read more from Anne at her blog Springleaf Studios.
Katie Larson is a new member this year and she has two quilts in the book. Katie’s quilt “Welcome to Colorful Colorado” was won Honorable Mention (Modern Quilt category) at the 2014 Des Moines AQS Quilt Show, and was displayed in the 2015 QuiltCon Quilt Show. The pattern is available to buy in her Etsy shop.
