This Thursday BMQG member Katie Arrington will be presenting on improv quilting and piecing. Most of the quilts Katie makes have some degree of improvisation, either in block layout, or block construction, or the overall quilting of the piece. If improv techniques make you nervous, or you just want to learn more, this is a meeting not to miss. Katie will be bringing examples of many finished quilts, and will be demonstrating her usual method of improv piecing.

More information will be given next month in regards to the actual location inside the building. But we are excited to have meetings booked here through the end of 2019.
The open sew will be July 21 at JVA Inc. Training Center at 1319 Spruce St., Boulder, CO. There will be a member email with more information regarding the location. If you plan to attend, please RSVP.
At the August evening meeting postage will be distributed for the postcard swap. Some members have already begun receiving their cards from the Bloomington-Normal MQG. If you have gotten a postcard already, please bring it to the July evening meeting to show off and so we can take a photo of it.
