MEETING RECAP

The June evening meeting was a UFO checkin date so all the show and tell projects were UFOs.

The next UFO project will be number 3.

Terri presented on Focusing on UFOs. Focusing is a technique that enables us to get in touch with body wisdom to allow you to get projects going again.

Her handout from the presentation is available in the Member Section.

Thank you so much Terri for helping us on our yearlong UFO completion goal!

June 2019 – Upcoming Meeting and Announcements

Please note that the June evening meeting will be in a new location:

The June evening meeting is:

Thursday, June 6 from 6 pm – 8:30 pm

Community Food Share
650 S Taylor Ave
Louisville, CO 80027

June is our next UFO check in for project number 1. Due to the high participation in the UFO challenge, we will only be doing show and tell of the UFO projects. If you will not be able to attend the meeting but want to have your project counted for the giveaway, make sure you either email it or post it to Instagram using #bouldermqgufos

The June topic is Focusing on UFOs. There is a way to get your worst UFO off the to-do pile and into the ta-da pile. Terri Thayer, Focusing trainer, will teach a method to tune into the body’s wisdom. Using innate knowledge, you can find a way to finish what you’ve been putting off. Please note: this is not therapy. We will be doing experiential exercises with others but there is no need to say anything uncomfortable. The method works within you. You chose the level of sharing. You can also do this process on your own. Bring to the meeting the UFO that is dogging you (or bring a piece of representative fabric or the pattern or just the mental image of it). We will learn how to connect with your inner knowing, leading the way to becoming unstuck. Learn how to find your way out of procrastination and overwhelm.

Please bring along those hard to finish UFOs, paper, and a pen.

Claudia explained notan, a Japanese design concept involving the placement of light and dark elements. We did some hands on exercises with paper to work seeing how the shapes compliment each other and trying to achieve balance with light and dark.
