SEPTEMBER MEETING RECAP
We began our meeting with a business meeting to discuss increasing dues for 2019. We had a majority of membership cast their vote in person during our September evening meeting and passed both the increase in dues and the associated bylaws changes. Dues increase will take effect for the 2019 membership year. Dues will increase to $50/year to reflect our growing membership and the chapter dues increase by the national guild. Members can view the full bylaws in the Member Section.
It was great to see so many visitors attend our September meeting. Welcome to all, and we hope to see you again in the future!
Anne walked us through several of the many ways to Quilt As You Go, including stitch and flip, row by row, block by block, joining strips, and self binding. She covered in detail great tips to consider when applying QAYG to a project. Her samples gave everyone a hands on look at how each technique could be used for different quilts. Look for her recommended links referencing the different methods on our quilting Pinterest board. Members can download the full presentation in the Member Section.
